So I saw two movies in the past couple of days that I really liked. And let me just say here that I believe that movies should be a vehicle for entertainment. I don't need all the loose ends tied up, I don't need all the jargon to be spot on... I want to give myself over to you for a couple of hours, and I expect you to tell me a fun story.
The Willage
This movie was awesome! The costumes, the set, the feel, the language, the acting... everything about it was great. Now... I know a lot of people are panning this movie. IGNORE THEM! Go see this movie, and remember that M. Night will always... ALWAYS... throw you a curve.
The Bourne Supremacy
Ok... I have to admit that I got to the theatre a little bit late, and sat on the font row. WAY too close. I couldn't take in all the action without swiveling my head...
(SIDE NOTE: The best seat in the theater is a spot which allows you to see the entire screen without swiveling your head. It should be close enough that the sides of the screen are just at the edge of your periphery vision. For most people this is about 5 rows closer than you think you'd be comfortable with.)
review cont'd: This movie was great for sheer action shots... the plot was good... a couple of the characters were underdeveloped, but it was followable. I definitely recommend this movie to all those who like an action/drama/nail-biter.
