I drive a convertible. A Chrysler Sebring to be specific. Anyway, the weather has been pretty good lately so I had the top down yesterday. I parked in the garage below the building, and left the top down. I don't really leave anything in my car that could be stolen except for a couple of CD's and a cheap pair of sunglasses. I drove a jeep wrangler for 7 years and just got used to taking everything out of it.

So when I left work yesterday, I went downstairs and started walking towards my car, and I notice things have been tampered with! The passenger door is unlocked, and the passenger seat is leaning forward. I start freaking out. I mean I'm going into a rage. I can feel my blood pressure rising. The thing is... if you reach over and unlock the door, and then open the door, the horn will start honking. And I didn't hear any horn honking during the day. So I check the car and nothing is missing, but still someone was messing with my car. And where I'm from, if someone messes with your car, you fight them. That's the rules.

So I start thinking to myself... Okay, there's a slight possiblity that one of the people in engineering are just messing with me. Second possiblity is that some of the electricians, or contractors that have been around all week were gonna steal something and someone showed up or something. Third possibility, some outsider wandered in and was gonna steal something but was scared off. So my plan of action was to come in to the office this morning and send an e-mail to the entire company saying, "look, if you were playing a joke on me that's fine, just let me know. If not I am calling the property manager and the Police department to report it, and ask for more security."

When I come in to the office in the morning, the first person I see is John Campbell I tell him about it, and I'm ranting on about it. He's sympathizing with me, agreeing with me, etc. So then a couple of other guys come into my office including our CTO. He also drives a Sebring Convertible. We get into this whole discussion about Blogging. He's apparently just discovered it and is talking about how cool it is, and that he reads my blog. He also mentions that in an attempt to get me to write something in my blog that he has "caused", he messed with my car yesterday!!

So Mr. CTO... you get mentioned in my blog... just keep away from my car in the future : - )
